500-format mic preamp with 65 dB of gain equipped with an adjustable output designed to meet the needs of audio professionals who use a DAW or level-sensitive device input in their chain . The 512V uses the same circuitry originally designed by Saul Walker, the founder of API, and uses the same high quality component and transformer as the 512C. The 512V eliminates the need for external signal attenuation through a third-party device and produces the same warm analog signal as the 512C.
