Volca is a series of 6 analog, digital, and two sample sequencer models:

Each module has a Midi sync to interface with its favorite software and a sync in / out to link several Volca. It gets carried away everywhere thanks to its battery operation and its mini speaker.
The sync jack and Midi in connector allow synchronized execution with multiple units or with your DAW. By using the sync jack, you can enjoy synchronized playback with multiple Volca or with a Monotribe.
You can also use the SyncKontrol app (iPhone) to wirelessly control tap tempo, swing settings, and synchronized playback with iOS music apps via WIST. The Midi in connector allows you to synchronize with other devices or play the Volca from any Midi keyboard. You can also send note messages from your DAW and use the Volca as an analog sound module.

Sequencer to 16 steps with a wide range of automation of parameters
The 16 step sequencer is excellent for improvisation. You can easily create patterns using the 16 buttons, each corresponding to one of 16 rhythm steps. In addition to step-by-step recording, the sequencer also supports real-time recording in which you can build a pattern while completing playback. The "Pattern Chain" function allows you to play sequentially several sequence patterns, which allows you to successively read desired patterns in consecutive numbers. Up to 16 sequences can be chained thus offering patterns with 256 steps.
In addition to simply playing a drum pattern, you can use the motion sequence function "Motion Sequence" to memorize button movements during real-time recording and play them back during playback; a total of 69 different parameters can be memorized. This is useful not only when you create your designs, but can also contribute to live performances that are bursting with originality. Up to 16 sequential programs (16 sequencer sequences, saved motion sequences, kit number) can be stored in the internal memory.
