The Radial Pro48 is a high performance active DI (powered by phantom power) specially designed for musical instruments with high output level such as preamplified acoustic guitars and active as passive bass.
It has an internal switching power supply to increase the headroom. The result ? Less distortion and a linear response of 20Hz up to more than 40kHz. It is therefore an excellent choice for instruments with high output level which tend to saturate other active DIs.
