OP-1 Field is the fruit of more than a decade of ideas, refinements and improvements, such as stereo on the entire signal chain, MIDI Bluetooth, USB-C, a new system of speakers with passive pilot for a detailed, rich and powerful sound, a huge battery life up to 24 hours, several recording bands and formats, a new ""Mother"" reverberation with superb sound and the synthetic engine "" Dimension "", a high-resolution glass screen flush and the FM transmission, to name only some of the 100 new characteristics in total.
OP-1 Field is the natural continuation of its predecessor. Updated with the most recent technology, an improved design, in close collaboration with professional musicians, sound engineers and sound designers. Superior quality in all aspects, from the circuit to connectivity and flexibility, made to measure for professionals in practice.
The new stereo sampling engine with an increased 20-second sampling time and a double layer mode is only one of the characteristics that pass OP-1 to the upper level. Tape now offers up to 8 different bands and four new recording formats: 4-track studio, 4-track vintage, porta and mini disc. All with their own unique characteristics and graphics.
The original emblematic design was only slightly modified. By lowering the aluminum case around the keyboard, the OP-1 Field seems lighter, finer and more precise. Thanks to the 2K injection molding process, it was even possible to integrate a double 2.4 GHz antenna system inside the aluminum case. Two flexible velcro closures were placed on the back to fix cases and accessories. An additional passive speaker on the right side makes it possible to enormously improve the restitution of the bass.
OP-1 Field is the second complement to the Field System of Teenage Engineering. Associated with the TX-6 portable mixer, an incredibly powerful and ultra-portable recording and performance system is obtained. All powered by battery, rechargeable via USB-C and with total interconnectivity (Midi and High Resolution Audio), compatible with iOS, MacOS and Windows.
