A body designed for pure acoustic sound A resonance chamber has been incorporated into the solid body, allowing air to flow in and out of the instrument, creating a natural acoustic.
The SRT Powered system provides a very realistic acoustic sound. The SLB300 SILENT Bass™ use the SRT Powered System technology to provide a similar, virtually indistinguishable sound and response to acoustic instruments. The "SRT - Studio Response Technology" system is the perfect combination of an innovative preamp and next-generation contact mics. These microphones are installed at the same place where the piezo is mounted. This combination reproduces the natural sound of the double bass in a way that an internal amplification system has never done before.
Three microphone types, an EQ and a Blend control for the ideal sound The resonance of an acoustic double bass, as picked up by three renowned and sought-after studio microphones, is modelled and reproduced in a very realistic way by the SRT Powered System preamp. The microphones can be selected via the MIC TYPE switch, and the sound can be adjusted via the BLEND and BASS/TREBLE controls to suit a wide range of musical genres, ensembles, venues and more.
Designed to require no change in acoustic double bass playing technique. The exterior design of the SLB300 is inherited from the SLB200. A compact and simplified shape eliminating unnecessary mass and volume. An acoustic bass-shaped frame and centre of gravity designed to minimise rotation improve handling, while the bridge, fingerboard, neck and other essential parts are precisely positioned to achieve a grip or playing technique equivalent to that of traditional acoustic double basses. The SLB300 also uses standard double bass strings. This allows the player to choose the strings they prefer.
Antique style finish with uniformly coloured frame and body for a natural wood appearance. The body and frame are finished in an antique style that enhances the qualities of the wood and lends a natural elegance. The finish offers a look and feel familiar to acoustic bass players.
