The legendary AKG C414 series of microphones is no longer to be presented. Since 1971, the C414s have been essential in most studios and they have contributed to the recording of thousands of prestigious records. On stage, they accompany tours by artists of all musical styles and are required for many instruments. They also equip a large number of benchmark broadcast installations.
The C414 XL II offers 9 choices of directivity to respond perfectly to any type of sound recording environment. It has a configurable low-cut filter on three frequencies and an attenuation circuit on three levels. In the case of use on stage or in a fixed installation, its controls can be easily deactivated to avoid any handling error. A LED diode can also detect the shortest clipping situation.
The C414 XL II is the successor to the famous C414 B-TL II. It keeps its unique sound signature allowing easy positioning of voices and instruments, even in an extremely dense mix. It also maintains a very high level of performance for the remote recording of classical music or drum scenes. This version of the C414 is characterized by an appreciable accentuation of presence on distant sound recordings and / or requiring more brilliance: voices, brass instruments, jazz piano, large orchestral formations ...
