These signature models were conceived and designed in close collaboration between the greatest international artists and the best luthiers of the ESP Custom Shop. The result is simply stunning and of incomparable quality!
A monument of modern metal
At the end of 2020, we learned of the death of Alexi Laiho, ESP artist since 2002 with a considerable impact on the modern metal scene. His talent, creativity and energy inspired many musicians around the world. In 2006 the first Alexi Laiho signature guitar was released, preceded by many models in the following years.
In the years leading up to Alexi's death, ESP worked with the Finnish artist to create new models to add to his signature series, something that hadn't happened in 7 years. Alexi was very excited about this project and contributed to the design with the Japanese brand's teams. He had even started using his new ESP Custom Shop in the studio and live with his band Bodom After Midnight. He was also keen to offer LTD models to allow more guitarists and fans access to these new models.
Alexi's impact on the guitar world continues with these five new signature models. They both honor the legacy of a guitarist as talented as he was creative, and help perpetuate his musical influence with players of today and tomorrow.
