Audio-Technica's research and development team has used all its expertise to reinvent ribbon microphone technology by developing a revolutionary process owned by Audio-Technica and covered by 18 patents. The AT4081 benefits from this new technology which allows it to reproduce a warm and natural sound in every detail with perfect precision in order to meet the most demanding requirements of recording, broadcasting and sound reinforcement professionals.

Innovative, highly durable ribbon transducers accommodate high allowable sound pressure levels and deliver excellent audio quality. The AT4081 with its tubular shape is optimized for strings, saxophone and other wind instruments, overheads, its discreet design allows it to maximize positioning possibilities. Both microphones are excellent for studio and stage recording.
