Description

The SF-12 is a coincident stereo microphone offering high-quality sonic performance, as well as exceptional stereo separation and imaging. It features a modern ribbon design that produces no sound diffraction or cavity resonance. The SF-12 consists of two paired ribbon microphones mounted one on top of the other, each oriented at a 45-degree angle from the center (classic Blumlein configuration). This provides excellent frequency response at any positioning angle, as well as minimal off-axis coloration.

The SF-12 is equipped with two 1.8-micron ribbons, each weighing approximately 0.3 g, and producing remarkable transient response. These two ribbons feature a magnet/pole element structure that ensures a wide, linear frequency response with no significant peaks or rolloffs. The industrial iron body serves as a magnetic return element to provide minimal stray flux (depending on the relatively high sensitivity level) in a compact size.
