The Scarlett 8i6 is the ideal compact studio solution that allows you to keep equipment plugged in and ready to use: whether it's microphones, guitars and synths, everything is thought out so as not to restrict the inspiration. Thanks to improved AD and DA conversion, recordings sound crystal clear up to 24-bit/192kHz. Two independent high-fidelity headphone outputs with dedicated volume control allow flexible monitoring when recording and mixing.
New high performance preamps
The Focusrite 8i6 is equipped with two third-generation Scarlett microphone preamps: with the Air mode engaged it is possible to reproduce the response of Focusrite's famous ISA preamp, which gives recordings a brighter and more open sound. Guitars and basses via the two instrument inputs, with high headroom, are picked up without artifacts or unwanted distortion. The four flexible line inputs: two front with gain control and two rear allow you to record up to four mono sources or two stereo sources at line level (synthesizers or drum machines) with enhanced clarity. A pair of virtual "loopback" inputs capture a stereo source from any combination of hardware inputs and software playback channels, making podcasting, live streaming, and even sampling easier .

The Scarlett 8i6 connects directly to a Mac or PC via a USB cable, without any external power supply. It comes with all the software tools needed to get started including Ableton Live Lite.
