Questions frequently asked
Are the Ahead PR Phil Rudd Signature drumsticks suitable for powerful rock?
This model features a 5A profile measuring 41.28 cm in length, suitable for rock, hard rock, punk, and energetic pop playing. Its weight is 53 g with a diameter of 1.37 cm. The additional lever promotes sustained playing for repeated hits or on stage.
What sound do the 5AT nylon tips produce?
The oval 5AT nylon tip delivers a bright and precise attack, with a pronounced click on the hi-hat and good definition on the ride cymbal.
Do Ahead PR drumsticks cause less wrist fatigue?
The polyurethane coating and vibration control system help absorb shocks towards the wrists, arms, and shoulders. Approximately 5% more rebound compared to wood is claimed. This design allows for maintaining strong playing with less effort.
Which replacement parts are compatible with Ahead PR drumsticks?
MT, MTW, and WMT coatings are compatible. The 5AT, 5AS, 5ATB, and 5AB tips can be fitted, as well as felt heads with A-thread MHLA, MHMA, and MHHA.
How to replace the coating on Ahead PR drumsticks?
The tip must be removed before the coating, then the worn coating can be gently heated with a hairdryer or in a standard oven, never in a microwave. After reassembly, a drop of super glue is applied on the tip's threading before tightening it against the coating.
