A Breedlove Designed to Combine Modern Design and Sound Excellence
The Performer Pro Concerto Aged Toner CE embodies Breedlove's approach: offering guitars with a distinctive look, refined feel, and a confident sound pursuit. The choice of a Concerto format combined with solid woods aims for a broad and expressive acoustic, while the onboard electronics meet the needs of musicians who alternate between acoustic playing and amplification.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
This electro-acoustic guitar is especially suited for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a versatile instrument comfortable in both accompaniment and fingerstyle playing. Its generous body and cutaway make it an excellent choice for stage, home recording, pop/folk, modern country, as well as any situation where a present, defined, and comfortable acoustic tone across the entire neck is desired.
Sound
The solid European spruce top provides clarity, attack, and great dynamics: ideal for highlighting right-hand nuances, from energetic strumming to fingerstyle. The solid mahogany back and sides enhance the midrange with natural warmth and a woody grain, while maintaining good note-to-note clarity. The Concerto format favors projection and breadth, while the ovangkol fingerboard and bridge contribute to a balance between roundness and definition. Once plugged in, the Fishman electronics allow you to retain this acoustic character with practical controls to adapt to the room.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To preserve the original feel, consider a D'Addario XT PB Medium string set identical to the factory setup, as well as a set of picks (various thicknesses) to explore more textures in strumming and arpeggios.
