A Cornet Inspired by French Tradition, Designed for Today
Following the legacy of Jean-Baptiste Arban and the history of French brass instruments, Antoine Courtois presents the BELLECOUR, a Bb cornet with a strong character. Its development, carried out with artist Clément Saunier and designer Adrien Jaminet, aims for a successful synthesis between tradition and modernity: the nobility of a distinctive timbre, and a contemporary design focused on precision, responsiveness, and ease of playing. For Which Musicians and Styles
The Courtois BELLECOUR is intended for advanced cornet players, conservatory students, and professionals seeking an expressive instrument capable of instant response. Its versatility makes it particularly suitable for classical, brass band, fanfare, and variety music, with a commendable projection reserve whenever the venue or ensemble requires a strong presence.Sound and Design
In a cornet, everything depends on the balance between roundness and definition. Here, the ML 11.65 mm bore offers a very musical compromise: enough ease for smooth sound production while maintaining useful resistance for phrase control. The hand-hammered yellow brass bell (diameter 122 mm ) promotes stable projection and rich harmonics, with a tone both bright and deep. The standard rose brass leadpipe contributes to this sensation of density and comfort, while the handling remains intuitive to prioritize expression.Recommended Compatible Accessories
Delivered with an ICON 5B mouthpiece and a backpack case, this cornet is ready to accompany you in rehearsals, concerts, and on the go. To preserve the longevity of the pistons and maintain consistent response, adding suitable piston oil and a brass cleaning swab is generally recommended.Technical specifications
