EMG 60 Black Humbucking Pickups

A modern classic from the EMG range, designed for clarity

The EMG 60 is a humbucker that focuses on balance and precision: it brings clarity and character to your electric guitar while maintaining generous sustain. Thanks to windings similar to those of mini humbuckers, it highlights rich harmonics and a very musical response, particularly appreciated when seeking an articulate sound.

For which guitarists and pickup positions?

Versatile, the EMG 60 can be positioned at the neck or at the bridge. At the neck, it stands out with great clarity for leads and chord passages; at the bridge, it retains definition for riffs and solos, with well-separated notes even when gain is high. It's an excellent choice for styles where precision is desired: rock, metal, hard rock, and all solo-oriented setups.

Responsiveness, sustain, and simplified installation

Its tonal character is based on a output level that helps each note stand out, combined with present mids to cut through the mix and solid lows to maintain power. The responsive highs add brightness without sacrificing note sustain, making the pickup very enjoyable for harmonics, legato, and fast passages.

The EMG "solderless" mounting technology greatly simplifies installation: connections are straightforward, allowing you to replace or integrate this pickup into your electronics more confidently, even without soldering experience.
