The Flagship of the "Concert Artist" Series
The CA901 concentrates Kawai's expertise by combining the heritage of Shigeru Kawai concert grand pianos with a contemporary cabinet. Designed for demanding pianists as well as daily practice, it offers an experience faithful to a grand piano while remaining silent, stable, and maintenance-free. It is a benchmark in the "console digital piano" category for home playing and teaching.
Keyboard Design
Grand Feel III wooden action, 88 extended-length keys with triple sensor for rapid repetition and escapement simulation for subtle hammer friction. The Ivory/Ebony Touch surfaces enhance finger grip. The velocity curves (Light, Normal, Heavy, Off) allow fine adjustment of response to your technique.
Sound Quality
SK-EX Rendering (88-note sampling) and Harmonic Imaging XL reproduce the nuances of the Shigeru Kawai EX, complemented by other Kawai pianos (EX, SK-5, K60). You benefit from 96 voices and 256-note polyphony for layers and pedals without cutoffs. The Spatial Headphone Sound enhances headphone playing, while the 6-speaker system + soundboard fills the room with a wide, lively sound.
