What is Meldway Grand for?
Meldway Grand is designed to offer a concert grand piano ready to mix into any production: classical music, pop, rock, ambient, soundtracks or video games. Its versatile microphone architecture covers everything from an intimate "close" piano to a spacious concert-hall piano. The creative tools transform the instrument into a true sound design laboratory, without losing the acoustic character of a grand piano.

The software runs on Windows 10/11 64-bit and macOS 64-bit. VST3, AU, and AAX 64-bit formats are supported.
What microphone placements are available?
Seven stereo pairs are offered: classic, head, two ultra-close, ball, Brauner with wide image, and ground. Each source has volume, formant, detune, and pan or width controls.
Does the piano support half-pedaling and sympathetic resonances?
Sympathetic resonances are reproduced, including without the pedal, and half-pedaling is supported. These features affect transitions, releases, and harmonic response.
Can transformed piano sounds be created with MeldwayGrand?
The Creative tab includes resonators, filters, and FM. The effect order can be rearranged, and a randomizer generates combinations that can be saved.
What reverbs and effects are included?
The FX section includes 25 algorithmic reverbs optimized for piano, as well as delay, enhancer, compressor, bellizer, distortion, and rotary effects.
