This cartridge is aimed at discerning vinyl enthusiasts, DJs focused on listening/selection (rather than "battle" use), as well as hi-fi and home studio setups where playback must remain reliable and expressive. It is particularly suitable for turntables used for extended listening, digging sessions, or record recordings (rips) where a good balance between dynamics, finesse, and timbral accuracy is sought.

With a tracking force range of 1.6 to 2.0 g (recommended 1.8 g), it is easy to set up and remains tolerant, provided that alignment and tonearm adjustment are carefully done. Its excellent stated frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz (+2 / -1 dB) makes it a versatile solution, comfortable on both very clean modern pressings and older records.

Features and Innovations

The 2M Blue adopts a nude elliptical stylus, a choice appreciated for its ability to read grooves with more precision than a standard elliptical tip, limiting information loss and improving micro-detail reproduction. In terms of performance, the cartridge offers a channel separation of 25 dB at 1 kHz (15 dB at 15 kHz) and a channel balance of 1.5 dB at 1 kHz, values that contribute to a more coherent stereo image.

Electrical compatibility is clearly MM-typed: recommended load resistance of 47 kOhm and recommended load capacitance of 150 to 300 pF. With an internal impedance of 1.3 ohms and internal inductance of 700 mH, pairing with a properly adjusted phono preamp (load/capacitance) will optimize transparency and tonal balance. Finally, the diamond's lifespan can reach up to 1000 hours with proper care, making it a relevant choice for regular listening, provided records and stylus are kept clean and the recommended tracking force is respected.
