In the Lineage of Ovation Roundbacks
The Celebrity Elite continues the legacy of Ovation's Roundback guitars, known for their Lyrachord composite backs and iconic multi-soundholes. Positioned as a premium entry point in the range, this "Black Satin" version incorporates the brand's innovations (Elite bracing, offset sound ports) to offer a reliable, modern, and stage-ready instrument.
For Whom and Which Styles?
Ideal for beginner to intermediate guitarists seeking a versatile electro-acoustic, as well as for stage and worship musicians. Comfortable in pop, folk, rock, chanson, and light fingerstyle accompaniment, it shines equally with pick playing and dynamic arpeggios.
Sound Characteristics
The solid spruce top provides precise attack and clarity, while the Elite Quintad bracing enhances projection and sustain. The Deep Contour Lyrachord body reinforces bass and stability, offering comfort whether seated or standing. The multi-soundholes free the vibrating surface at the center of the top and bring the sound closer to the player's ear, improving onstage perception. Plugged in, the CP-100 Slimline + OP-4CT combo delivers a natural tone, easily shaped thanks to the 3-band EQ and built-in tuner.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To protect and optimize the instrument: Ovation hard case for Deep Contour body, phosphor bronze steel string set 12-53 (light tension), 9V alkaline battery for the preamp, quality 6.35 mm jack cable, and a soundhole humidifier to ensure the stability of the spruce top.
