An IEM Developed with Stage Expertise

Resulting from the collaboration between Prodipe and sound engineer Ludovic Lanen, the IEM 5120 was designed to offer accessible professional quality. It meets the standards expected by musicians and touring technicians while remaining simple to install and operate daily.

Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?

Ideal for singers, instrumentalists, DJs, speakers, and monitor technicians, the IEM 5120 is suitable for stage performances, rehearsals, and mobile setups. The included earphones provide good ambient noise isolation to preserve mix accuracy and listening comfort, even at moderate volume levels.

Key Features for Precise and Stable Monitoring

The UHF transmission covers the 630 to 680 MHz range with 100 mono channels, helping to avoid interference and easily integrate into an existing wireless system. High dynamic range and low distortion preserve the nuances of playing, while the range of up to 80 m under optimal conditions ensures solid reception.

On the practical side, the transmitter offers Combo XLR/6.35mm Jack inputs and a 3.5mm Jack input, plus control outputs. The compact bodypack powers the IEM3 headphones via its 3.5mm Jack output. The set comes with a carrying case and ear tips in various sizes for a comfortable and secure fit.

It's the first feedback system I use, so I can't compare. I have often been confronted with scenes equipped with bad or poorly managed feedback, or even without feedback! This system does a lot better. We hear everything we want to hear (what we will send to him from the console). And we hear it as the public hears it!
Some people mention sound quality problems... I have never experienced scenes with Hi-Fi sound qualities, even with some pros! I kept the headphones that were delivered. They insulate quite a bit (ear protection) and, therefore, there is no need to turn on a high volume to hear well. We hear as well as when we listen to music on the Internet with headphones. It's not great sound quality but it's not what we're asking for from feedback. I hear what the band is playing, I hear what I am playing and I hear if I am well placed in the “mix” or not. It's what I wanted. This system does that.
It seems to me that this is not specified in the description: the receiver has a volume button. The ripper also (one for the left channel, one for the right, so you can personalize your listening) which limits saturation when a pseudo-sound engineer adjusts the console like you adjust a Kurt Cobain amp...
The transmitter also has a headphone output and a line output that allows you to connect another feedback system if necessary.
The transmitter plugs into an outlet with the power supply that comes with it. The receiver works with 2 batteries. It lasts a few hours (more than 4 hours with an average listening volume). There is a charge indicator on the receiver. So at intermission, if it's low, you change. You might as well put new batteries at the start of each concert to be on the safe side. But I prefer it to systems with rechargeable batteries that will no longer have any autonomy after some time.
    Very happy with my purchase.
