A Modern Take on a Jazzmaster Classic
Developed at Seymour Duncan by Kevin Beller (Vice President of Engineering), the Jazzmaster Silencer Hot set was created to meet current demands without betraying the Jazzmaster's historic sonic aesthetic. The goal is clear: maintain that "wide," surfy, and articulate character while eliminating unwanted noise that can complicate recording, especially with gain, modulation, and lots of reverb.
For Which Styles and Guitarists
This set is aimed at musicians who love the personality of a Jazzmaster but want a quieter and more consistent instrument in real-world conditions. Perfect for nervous surf, indie, and fuzzy grunge, as well as shoegaze and thick textures: the neck pickup remains spacious and clear with warmer lows, while the bridge pickup gains definition and sustain for cutting riffs and solos that stand out in the mix.
Silencer Hot: More Output, More Control, Zero Noise
The "Hot" version offers a boosted output level to better drive an amp or pedals without losing chord clarity. The Alnico V magnet delivers a firm and balanced response, with precise attack and present highs. The result: you retain the Jazzmaster character but with a more stable, more usable feel and significantly cleaner sound as soon as you stack effects or increase gain.
