The LX7 II: The Soundcraft "GB30" Legacy Serving Professional Mixing
The Soundcraft LX7 II is the direct evolution of the LX7, designed to offer an audible upgrade without changing the series' DNA: a robust, logical, and field-oriented console. Its major evolution is based on the GB30 design, named after Graham Blyth (co-founder and technical director of Soundcraft) and associated with the brand's 30th anniversary. With its new mic preamp and new EQ section inspired by the MH series design, the LX7 II aims for cleaner reproduction, wider dynamics, and more comfortable handling of demanding sources.
Intended Uses: Front of House, Monitors, Fixed Installations, and Live Performances
Flexible and functional, the LX7 II is intended for both front of house mixing and stage monitors. Its subgroup architecture, auxiliaries, and mono output facilitate managing a sound system, wedge mixes, or sends to external effects. It is particularly suited for fixed installations (venues, houses of worship, establishments, equipped stages) as well as small to medium live events where a reliable, clear, and efficient analog console with genuine routing capabilities is sought.

Questions frequently asked
Is the LX7 II 24 suitable for front-of-house mixing and stage monitors?
This mixer features 24 mono channels and 2 stereo inputs. Its 4 subgroups, mono output, and 6 assignable pre/post fader auxiliaries make monitor and effects sends management easy. It is designed for small to medium live performances as well as fixed installations.
Is 48 V phantom power available on all microphone inputs?
48 V phantom power is switchable in blocks of 4 channels, allowing static microphones to be powered only on the necessary sections.
Can a concert be recorded multitrack with this mixer?
The first 8 channels each have a direct output. This setup allows capturing eight separate tracks for multitrack recording of concerts or live sessions.
What equalizer is on the mono channels?
On mono channels, the GB30 EQ includes 4 bands: fixed bass and treble, with two parametric mids. A low-cut filter completes this section to reduce low-frequency noise.
Soundcraft LX7ii 24: what features are useful for live sound reinforcement?
100 mm faders ensure precise level control. The mixer also integrates stereo effects returns, a 2-track return summed into the mix, and a talkback system.
