Summary of This Sheet Music
This collection brings together 25 animated cartoon themes arranged for solo piano, featuring a particularly broad and cinematic selection of titles. It includes iconic melodies and highly contrasting atmospheres: the lyrical momentum of "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" (The Lion King), the energy of "The Bare Necessities" (The Jungle Book), as well as the poetry of Joe Hisaishi's works through several emblematic titles (My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Porco Rosso, Howl's Moving Castle).
The selection also highlights modern animated film music, with themes by Hans Zimmer (Madagascar), Thomas Newman (Finding Nemo), Randy Newman (Toy Story), John Powell and Harry Gregson-Williams (Chicken Run, Shrek), not to mention more unique worlds like The Triplets of Belleville (Ben Charest) or Yellow Submarine (The Beatles). This collection is designed for pianists who wish to rediscover, at the keyboard, the color and storytelling unique to film music, while working on expression, dynamics, and melodic sense through familiar themes.
