Helicore: a modern benchmark in multi-strand steel strings
The D'Addario Helicore series has established itself as a reliable choice for musicians seeking the responsiveness and stability characteristic of steel strings, while maintaining a refined tonal color. Thanks to its multi-strand steel core design and carefully selected materials, this G string belongs to a range known for its tuning stability and consistency over hours of playing.
Intended Use and Player Level
This Helicore G string in Medium tension is suitable for advanced beginners, intermediate, and advanced violinists seeking a versatile and easy-to-control string. Its profile fits a variety of repertoires: classical, orchestral, traditional music, or more modern playing styles, when immediate response and reliable performance in rehearsals and concerts are desired.
Tonal Characteristics
Thanks to its multi-filament steel core, the string offers a clear attack and a quick bow response, particularly appreciated during bowing changes and precise articulations. The tone remains clear and warm, with good clarity in the lower register on the G string. Its smaller diameter promotes faster response and contributes to a more direct playing sensation, while supporting solid tuning stability.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To preserve the string's longevity and consistent response, using a rosin suited to your bow and a soft cloth to wipe the string after playing is strongly recommended. Compatibility being universal, these accessories are suitable for a standard 4/4 violin.
