Part of Kawai's "Concert Artist" Line
The CA701 is at the heart of the "Concert Artist" series, designed to bring pianists closer to the feel of a Kawai grand piano while enjoying the benefits of a furniture-style digital piano. It features the brand's signature wooden touch and the reference SK-EX/EX pianos, housed in a refined cabinet designed for home, studio, or workshop use.Keyboard Design
The Grand Feel III action offers full-length solid wood keys, a triple sensor system per note, and faithful escapement simulation. The Ivory/Ebony Touch key surfaces provide secure grip, while the adjustable velocity curves (Light, Normal, Heavy, Off) allow you to tailor the keyboard response to your playing style, from fast passages to the finest nuances.Sound Quality
"SK-EX Rendering" combines 88-note sampling and modeling to capture the richness of a Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, complemented by Harmonic Imaging XL for other instrument families. You have access to 96 voices and a 256-note polyphony. The Spatial Headphone Sound preserves a natural soundstage when using headphones, and the 6-speaker system (55 W + 55 W) delivers a rich and detailed sound with 360-degree room-filling projection.Built-in Effects

After having tried the models at Yamaha and Roland, in the same category I find the CA 701 well above the others (touch/sounds/finishes)!
Having previously been on a straight acoustic KawaĂŻ and for exclusively logistical reasons... Going back to digital was not easy!
I think he is the only one who can properly support this change! ... Several possible settings... I just need to find the one that will be most adapted to the infectious acoustics in my living room! :-/
In terms of furniture finishes... for the price, they could have done better anyway! The junction of the bottom of the cabinet to the keyboard part is badly done! (Slight lag, not logical and aesthetic!)
And beware, they made a piano for people who don't have cats (and the need to put stuff on their piano ^^)! Because on the top it's all the way from the speakers! So of course, it gives it power and it's immersive... but it's also very scary when you live (CHEZ, let's remember!) her cat! :)
The brand name would have been more chic in gold! And they could have faded from the umlaut on Kawai Island! :-)
The keyboard felt is black. I would have preferred the color... The start of the pedals could also have been set with felt in the same color! (Preferably red) It would have been a lot more chic! (And in my opinion it would have given it a feminine touch that it lacks. Very subjective... even so! :) âDetails make perfection and perfection is not a detailâ...
And so although it is well above my piano level, it meets my requirements quite well and should satisfy my feelings! ...
Its cost is important! But I think that it is an instrument that meets a lot of criteria and that can therefore accompany an apprenticeship, a musical experience for a long time! :)Automatically translated
