Concert Artist Kawai: The Grand Piano Experience in Your Living Room
At the heart of Kawai's "Concert Artist" series, the CA701 combines the heritage of the brand's concert grand pianos with cutting-edge technologies. Designed for demanding practice as well as daily enjoyment, it offers a playing feel and sound projection worthy of a grand piano, without tuning constraints or volume issues.Keyboard Design
The CA701 features 88 solid wooden keys with Grand Feel III action for inertia, pivot length, and repetition close to that of a concert grand piano. The Ivory/Ebony Touch coating ensures finger grip, while the escapement simulation and triple sensor finely reproduce nuances, even in trills and rapid repetitions. Adjustable velocity curves (Light, Normal, Heavy, Off) allow you to tailor the response to your touch.Sound Quality
The SK-EX Rendering engine (88-note sampling) captures the palette of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, complemented by Harmonic Imaging XL for rich resonances. You benefit from 96 voices and a 256-note polyphony to play without cutoffs, even in layering. The Spatial Headphone Sound recreates a natural scene through headphones, while the 6-speaker 55 W + 55 W amplification delivers a broad and precise sound.Built-in Effects
